"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I withdraw what I have said. The Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration should bring to this House information on who abducted young bloggers who are simply expressing themselves. It is his responsibility, which he cannot run away from. If he cannot do so, he should resign and let somebody else take responsibility. We cannot kill our children and think we will be okay. We cannot use so much force and expect we will go into our houses and sleep. I cannot sleep because of what I watched happening yesterday outside Parliament. We pleaded, but they were going on with guns yet those children only had twigs. Stones were thrown because bullets were being fired. Stones came because canisters were being released every minute. Those children were unarmed. I saw a clip where one police officer is contemplating resigning because his brother was killed by another police officer. I want to tell our police officers this: I know your job is difficult, but remember you are Kenyans and also have children. Do not allow anybody to use you to break the law. Using live bullets on an unarmed person is breaking the law. We need to call ourselves to order as leaders. Finally, I plead with the President. Mr. President, listening is not cowardice. I can assure you the Finance Bill is not bigger than the people of Kenya. That Finance Bill is unconstitutional because it has clauses that should have come to the Senate. If your people have not told you that, please listen to us. Retreat, not even because of the Senate, but because of these young people. Call them and explain boldly the justification of the budget lines that the National Treasury presented before the National Assembly. Shame on the National Assembly for passing a budget that has budget items that are embarrassing for the nation. Both sides of the aisle passed the budget. They were wrong on that. Listen to the people of Kenya. Mr. Speaker, Sir, I oppose."
