"content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir, for this opportunity to oppose the Motion. I strongly feel we should not adjourn at this moment. We should not run away from our children and issues that are being raised. This is the best time for us to engage in the conversation. Since we did not have a chance to debate the Finance Bill as a Senate, this is the opportunity for us to engage on pertinent issues that demonstrators raised. They include taxes, the cost of living, the cost of doing business, and freehold and leasehold land. We must engage in this debate. In fact, issues to do with land affect counties. These are issues we need to speak about. We also need to talk to the police on how to handle peaceful demonstrations. The Gen Z, millennials and all the others who took part started peaceful demonstrations. We saw last week these young people even taking selfies with the police. They had bottles of water and their phones. They never meant any harm to anybody. They just wanted to pass a strong statement to the country at large and especially the leadership and we should listen.
