I rise, pursuant to Standing Order No.58, to make a personal statement concerning inaccurate reporting on mainstream media on my contribution to the Motion before the Senate on the current state of the nation. During the afternoon sitting of the Senate held on Wednesday, 10th July, 2024, some sections of the mainstream media have misconstrued my remarks to mean that I was supporting the rejected Finance Bill, 2024.
