    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, for the opportunity to support this Motion. From the onset, I thank the Committee for doing what our Standing Orders require that whenever you have been tasked to do something and you are not able to finish within the timeframe, you are required to come back to the House and request for the extension. Mr. Temporary Speaker, Sir, I gladly support this Motion and, yes, the Committee requires more time. As they do require more time, they should remember that the times have changed. Nowadays, in everything you do, as required by the Constitution, you must involve the people. You must walk with them step by step on what you are doing and scrutinizing, especially on matters of Statutory Instruments, land, fees and all that. I also urge the Committee to expedite this matter. They should do more research because when you are talking about a law that was passed in 1970 and you are in 2024, a lot has changed. I believe the Committee is up to the task and I support this Motion. The electronic version of the Senate Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
