    "content": "The Supplementary Estimates I for the Financial Year 2024/2025 was submitted to this House on Friday, 12th July 2024 for consideration by the Members pursuant to Article 223 of the Constitution and Section 44 of the PFM Act, 2012. So, I thank and congratulate Hon. Members on their recommendations. On Recommendation No. 5, the National Treasury diversifies the fiscal deficit financing strategy by enhancing the use of grants from development partners and decreasing reliance on borrowing. In the morning, our own Hon. Mbadi, who has been in Parliament with us since 2013, officially became the Cabinet Secretary for National Treasury and Economic Planning. Now that we have been sitting on the same side of opposition, he knows very well what we have been talking about: issues of finance and economy. That is what Kenyans have been complaining about.
