    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, there is a well known saying and you are a professor, so you will understand, you never use a short-term solution to solve a long- term problem nor do you use a long-term solution to solve a short-term problem. Whereas there has been some confusion in the long-term and short-term elements of solutions and problems, I feel that it is well developed. There will be short-terms solutions for what is perceived to be short-term problems and longer-term solutions for what has been perceived to be longer-term problems. The five pillars that the Minister set out were well developed and we are just hoping that we can spend our way out of the recession. However, we must remember, - being the devil’s advocate, - we are not necessarily going to be able to spend our way out of recession like the Americans, the Chinese and the other big economies. We are a dependent economy. A little action or reaction with the larger financial powers will have a major knock down effect on us."
