"content": "When you look at the highway connecting Nairobi to Addis Ababa, that is the Great North Road, the tarmac ends at Isiolo. I want to congratulate the current Government for making some initiative to do the stretch from Isiolo to Merile. I know there are efforts to do the remaining part, but the progress is very slow. However, as we wait for these donor funds, can we not provide some little funding under the Government budgetary allocation to do even 30 kilometres every year? After completion of a five year period, we will have managed to do, for example, a stretch from Moyale to Marsabit. It is not a miracle! We need to put a lot of effort into that so that we are able to empower the Ministry of State for the Development of Northern Kenya and Other Arid Lands."
