Pursuant to the provisions of Standing Order 44(2)(c), I rise to request for a statement from the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Administration and Internal Security regarding insecurity in Fafi Constituency. Fafi Constituency has, for a long time, witnessed a series of attacks by suspected militants. Those attacks have seen several police officers, national police reservists (NPRs) and civilians lose their lives and communication masts blown away. For instance, on the morning of 10th August 2024, Mr Dekow Mohamed Aden of ID No 26617498 and his 12-year-old son were reportedly killed by suspected Al Shabaab militants at Daad Abbass Village Kamuthe Location; accusing him of working with security agencies.
