    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, it is for these reasons that we chose purposely, to take bold and what we believed to be progressive steps aimed at transforming our country in an equitable manner. It is for that reason that the overriding objective of the 2009 Budget was to stimulate growth in our country, endeavoring to protect jobs while, at the same time, aiming to reduce poverty in every corner of our country and enhancing food security. We are doing everything that we can to cushion, especially the most vulnerable in our society, from the effects of the downturn in our economy."
