    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, the outlook for 2009/2010 is only slightly better, especially in the face of the ongoing global recession that has reduced demand for our exports, tourism earnings and remittances from Kenyans in the diaspora. We now project a modest recovery with the national cake growing by only 3 per cent in 2009. However, I would like to assure the hon. Members, and Kenyans at large, that, despite those challenges, the economic foundation laid in 2003-2007 is still intact."
