Consistent with our policy to promote preventive healthcare, we intend to employ on contract - and I repeat, on contract terms at the local level an additional 4,200 nurses, which is the equivalent of approximately 20 nurses per constituency countrywide. To this end, I have allocated a total of Kshs655 million which translates to Kshs3.1 million for each constituency."
