    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. As you may know, I am a Member of the Senate Standing Committee on Energy. I rise to move this Amendment Bill as a proud Member of that Committee that is chaired by the Senator for Nyeri County, the Sen. Wamatinga. Mr. Speaker, Sir, in March 2023, at a sitting of the Standing Committee on Energy, there was a resolution by the Committee to conduct an Inquiry into the high cost of electricity. This is an issue that many of us in this House have interacted with and at that particular moment in time, it had occupied many discussions around the country.
