First of all, it is not enough to constantly try and compensate the victims or ask the Government to help once the fires have happened. We have a responsibility as the citizenry, to confirm that the environment within which we operate business can withstand a fire tragedy, should it happen. For example, Hon. Mwenje, you should tell your traders not to agree to pay the county the levies and fees that they pay at the markets if there are no fire extinguishers in the premises.
