"content": "On 13th August 2024, the Committee undertook approval pre-hearing and on 15th August 2024, the Joint Committee of both Houses conducted the approval hearing. They were guided by the provisions of the Constitution, the Public Appointment (Parliamentary Approval) Act, (Cap.7F) and the National Police Service Act, (Cap.84). During the approval hearing, the Committee considered the nominee’s duly filled questionnaire, curriculum vitae, academic credentials, professional training, experience, personal integrity and background to assess the suitability of the candidate for the said position."
