"content": " Hon. Speaker, I am not debating. I am bringing a matter to your attention to make a ruling on whether we are properly debating the right person to be appointed as the Inspector-General. The nominee was born on 22nd September 1963. We are now in September 2024, so he is already 61 years old. All Government officers retire at the age of 60. So, will we appoint somebody who is not even in the system and has already retired? Is it in order for the House to debate somebody who has already retired? The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
