"content": "We are still partnering with the MPs. Therefore, on the issue of those that are in Masinga constituency, which you specifically referred to, it would be better if the Hon. Member for Masinga could also liaise and agree to partner with us. As my good friend hon. Kathuri Murungi, the distinguished Senator for Meru and the Deputy Speaker has indicated, never mind the last week’s ruling made by the High Court. It gave some window that the NG-CDF will cease to be operational at the stroke of midnight 30th June, 2026. There is still sufficient lead time between now and then for the various Members who have not come forward to us because this is a matter of giving service to the people we represent. I do not see why any Member should be dilly-dallying on the need to partner with us. We are helping them to help people access the various services such as pensions. I do not know why in both Houses the issue of pensions to people who have retired from various places is always a headache. This is why we are still making deliberate efforts to constantly remind Ministries, agencies and departments to please come and offer those services, particularly the front services through our Huduma centres located in various parts of the country. Just to inform the House, every year the Ministry requests the National Treasury and through the National Assembly for Kshs2 billion towards setting up of modern Huduma centres across the country. Sadly, we always end up with zero allocation. Mr. Speaker, Sir, we should thank Hon. Maanzo, the Senator for Makueni for addressing the issue of PWDs in our Huduma centres. Indeed, even at our headquarters there are some PWDs working in our Huduma centres. Again, depending on the various services to be given in a particular centre, consideration will be given to PWDs because it is a constitutional imperative; it is not optional. Mr. Speaker, Sir, may I once again thank you and the entire House, for according me this opportunity to respond to various questions raised by the Hon. Senators."
