"content": "Parliament should sit in Mombasa or Wajir, it can be done. Therefore, we are asking whether this Parliament could sit in Wajir, Moyale or in Kitale? Why not? Indeed, this is a Motion that we need to support. Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, there are things that have happened that have looked impossible initially. When we spoke about free primary education, some people thought that it was impossible. When we spoke about free secondary education, it looked like a strange idea! But it is now happening and it is achievable! When we spoke about live coverage of the proceedings of this House, there are those who thought that it was not possible. But it is now happening! Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, when we speak about rotational sittings of Parliament, it is achievable and it can happen. As we speak, the sights and sounds of this House and what is happening this moment are being instantly witnessed by millions of Kenyans! Indeed, we have taken Parliament to the people in the villages across Kenya and they are following the proceedings in this House. But, Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I think the time has come when we should now take Parliamentarians to Kenyans and to the villages so that they can see and experience, first hand, the problems, lives, diversities and cultures of the Kenyan people! Indeed, if we were to do this, we would be able to connect even more with what is really happening out there. Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, I had the privilege of travelling with hon. Affey to Moyale, and I must confess that I was one of those Kenyans who had never been to Moyale. What I saw there, indeed, I agreed with him that, for any Kenyan who has never been to Moyale, you might not really connect with the problems of the people of Moyale. I saw the water problems that the people of Moyale experience. From Moyale, we travelled to Sololo, which is 240 kilometers away and I was surprised to know that, as you go towards that part of Kenya, the road only ends in Isiolo. After Isiolo, you would not believe that you are in Kenya! It is no wonder that when our brothers who live there come to Nairobi, they say that they have come to Kenya!"
