"content": "Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, we need to go out there; we need to know how our fellow Kenyans live in the North and we will connect! I did witness a water hole where there were hundreds of camels. In my entire life, I had never seen so many camels all competing for water at one water point as we drove to Sololo! If hon. Mahamud spoke here today of the problems of his people, particularly pertaining to water, I would be able to relate and connect with it because I saw it first hand! It is something that others also need to experience. Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, when we come to this House, we have no orientation to know the entire country. This is the case and yet we come from different parts of the country and different backgrounds. You will be surprised to learn that many hon. Members and other people in this country had never heard of Migingo Island until we were told that the Ugandan flag was flying there. You will be surprised that many of us have never heard of an island called “Funzi Island” out there in the Indian Ocean. When you join college, there is a week of orientation. You are given time to go around the university and orientate yourself with it. We have not had that privilege in this House. If we went round this country and had sittings in all the provinces, we would be better equipped and prepared to deliver to all Kenyans when we come back to Nairobi. Indeed, it is not strange to ask this Parliament to go round this country"
