"content": "that now Kenyans can see live proceedings all over the country. How many Kenyans have television and radio sets in their homes? If all the people in Maj-Gen. Nkaisserryâs constituency have television and radio sets, then he is a very lucky man. What we are asking for is not for financial, or other gains. We are saying, let us agree as Parliament, and tell the President that we would wish to go out to Kenyans. How that will be done, is an issue of logistics, and logistics can be worked out later on, not necessarily now. For now, let us agree in principle on what we need to do. Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, the time has come for Members of Parliament to take the lead in making Kenyans be really âKenya centricâ. We must think as Kenyans and we must take the lead. The issue of Member of Parliament being referred to by other members of society as Club 222 can only stop if we are able to interact at the very personal level with Kenyans out there. With all my heart, I support this Motion, Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker."
