"content": "committee is scheduled to hold a high-level meeting with key stakeholders and non-state actors in the coming month, following which we shall table our report on the matter on the Floor of the House. The detailed status of the legislative business considered by the committee during the reporting period is attached as an annexure to this statement. As highlighted, there is one legislative proposal, 14 Bills, including The Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Bill (Senate Bills No.15 of 2023); The Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Bill (Senate Bills No.52 of 2023) which was withdrawn by Sen. Chimera on Tuesday; The House of Parliament Bicameral Relations Bill (National Assembly Bills No.44 of 2023). This one was discussed earlier this morning and it is subject to be concluded. There is also The Statutory Instruments (Amendment) Bill (National Assembly Bills No.5 of 2023); The Statutory Instruments (Amendment) Bill (Senate Bills No. 10 of 2024); The County Civic Education Bill, 2024; The Law of Succession (Amendment) Bill (Senate Bills No.20 of 2023); The Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Bill (Senate Bills No.17 of 2024); The Independent and Electoral and Boundaries Commission (Amendment) (National Assembly Bill No.10 of 2024), which has since been enacted into law; The County Government Elections (Amendment) (Senate Bills No.2 of 2024), among several others, which include The Political Parties (Amendment) Bill, The Election Offences (Amendment) Bill, The Election (Amendment) Bill as well as The County Government (State Officers Removal from Office Procedure) Bill, 2024. The Statements sought are by Sen. Chute on the status of courts construction projects in Kenya. Statement sought by Sen. Tabitha Mutinda on the assault of a female passenger by a matatu conductor along Thika Road; statement by Sen. Sifuna on the predicament of Master Austin Karanja, a minor with hearing impairment, who was mauled by school dogs on 28th October 2023 at Isinya School for the Deaf. On petitions, petition by Christine Njoki Mweru on Poor Network Awareness as well as petition by Tripple Impact Community Based Organisation (CBO) and petition by one Laban Omusundi. On inquiries, we got a committee inquiry on the status of indigenous people in Kenya tabled by you for the committee as well as Sessional Paper No.3 of 2023 on the Kenya Policy on Public Participation. During the remainder of the Third Session, the committee has prioritized the conclusion of legislative business before the committee as well as the actualization of the recommendations for amendment to the Constitution as contained in the Reports of the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) and the Multi-Sectoral Working Group on the Implementation of the two-thirds gender principle, which is something we did today in our committee session.
