    "content": "ONGOING RENOVATIONS OF GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise, pursuant to Standing Order No.53(1), to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Roads, Transportation and Housing regarding ongoing renovations on Government buildings across the country. In the Statement, the Committee should- (1) State Government entities currently undertaking renovations on their buildings, confirming whether the said renovations are part of the said entities’ approved work plans for the Financial Year 2024/2025. (2) Disclose the budget allocated for these renovations, stating the specified timeframe for each renovation. (3) Provide the scope of the renovation works and details of the entities awarded the renovation tenders, stating the contract sum for each tender. (4) Explain reasons for the renovations noting the need to adhere to austerity measures and provide timeliness for completion of the said renovations."
