    "content": "THAT, the Senate adopts the Report of the Joint Sittings of the Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning of the National Assembly and the Standing Committee on Finance and Budget of the Senate, on the approval hearing of Mr. David Kibet Kemei, nominee for appointment as the Director-General (DG) of the Competition Authority of Kenya (CAA), laid on the Table of the Senate on Thursday, 26th September 2024; and that pursuant to Section 12(1) of the Competition Act and Sections 3 and 8 of the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) Act, the Senate approves the nomination of Mr. David Kibet Kemei for appointment as the Director-General of the Competition Authority of Kenya."
