"content": "I do not know why there is excitement in the House. I have already said that this has never happened before, but that is the proposal. I urge Members to agree that we elect 11 of our wisest and most trusted Senators who we think have sufficient wisdom to read on our behalf and make a decision. As you know, as per our Standing Orders, should they elect that the matters have not been substantiated, the matter dies and there is no recourse for the House. However, should they confirm any of the 11 charges, even just one, then they will invite the rest of us to join them in making a decision. This is not a matter that I want to speak long to because there are more serious matters that lay ahead with regards to this particular Motion. Mr. Speaker, Sir, with those many remarks, I want to invite the Senator for Nairobi City, Sen. Edwin Watenya Sifuna, to second this Motion."
