The main reason for rushed initialing was that, probably, there was a sword hanging on a number of countries. The main reason for initialing was to avert trade disruption after 31ST December, 2007. That was the deadline that was given and the agreements were actually initialed under pressure. As a result, it has become very evident that there are serious imbalances in the agreements and some clauses now should either be re-drafted or completely eliminated. There have been promises within the European Union which now has a new Commissioner. She has promised that these clauses that cause imbalances will be looked"
