All the countries you see with fast-maturing cane, that is not the work of their governments; it is the work of private millers who have invested in research. Even if we put a lot of money in Kenya Sugar Research Foundation (KESREF), it will not yield us good results as when that money and process of research are handled by the private sector. We need to quicken the privatisation process."
