When the JSS interns went on strike a few months ago, one of the reasons was about their remuneration, which is around Kshs17,000, noting that these are trained teachers who have been to universities and are competent enough to handle any subject. In this Financial Year, what has the Ministry done to increase the remuneration or the wages for these JSS teachers, so that they can feel they are working for this country and they are doing a noble job of training our children?"
