I rise, pursuant to Standing Order No.53(1), to seek a statement from the Standing Committee on Roads, Transportation, and Housing regarding the sudden collapse of the Economic Stimulus Programme Market (ESPM) structure under construction in Iten Town in Elgeyo-Marakwet County. In the Statement, the Committee should - (1) Provide a comprehensive report detailing the procurement method used to award the tender for the construction of the market and the procedure used in evaluating bidders and awarding the contract. (2) State the name of the contractor awarded the tender and list all successful contracts completed by the tender awardee from 2019 to date.
