I rise, pursuant to Standing Order No.56(1) of the Senate Standing Orders to make a statement on the status of implementation of the Senate resolution by Government departments, agencies, commissions and independent offices concerning the issues under the mandate of the Standing Committee on National Security, Defense and Foreign Relations as directed in the motion on the State of the Nation. At the sitting of the Senate held on Wednesday, July 24, a motion on the State of the Nation was passed by the House.
