"content": "they multiply the innovations and things that they have come up with. These ones must be encouraged. If we really want to focus on this nation and put resources on things that matter, this is one of the issues that matters, and even the Motion that was before this one that was talking about combining all the bursaries. We must allocate resources to things that will bring results in the next five to ten years. The late former President Hon. Mwai Kibaki with other Hon. Members came up with the Vision 2030 blueprint. Some of the things that are happening in this Republic are as a result of Vision 2030. People sat down, thought through about resources and where they were going to be put and how they wanted this country to look like in the next 20 to 30 years. Shockingly, we have been able to achieve a number of those issues. It is now about five years remaining for the Vision 2030 to come to an end. We must also start, thinking moving forward, what our vision is for the next 50 years. What do we want to do as a Government, or as a country in the next 50 years? The UAE is coming up with a museum of the future because they want to start thinking around and allocating resources. But we cannot continue thinking through orthodox means and allocate resources the conventional way, but fail to focus on investing in the future of our Republic even if it is 1 per cent of the resources, let us allocate it to focus on planning our country for the next 50 years. Therefore, I support this Motion."
