Temporary Chairman, I beg to move: That, Clause 57 of the Bill be amended by inserting the phrase “and shall, on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding two million shillings, or imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years, or to both” immediately after the words “commits an offence”. This is to provide for penalty for the offence of deceptive labelling, packaging and sale of medical devices."
