    "content": "(a) in sub-clause (1) by inserting the words “unregistered establishments for medical devices and” immediately after the word “under”; and; (b) by deleting sub-clause (3) and substituting therefor the following new sub-clause— “(3) A person who sells or supplies unapproved medical devices commits an offence and shall, on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding one million shillings or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years, or to both.” This is to provide for the registration of establishments for medical devices by the Authority. The amendment further seeks to amend sub-clause (3) for proper grammatical flow and provide a penalty for the offence of supply of unapproved medical devices. Thank you, Hon. Temporary Chairman."
