"content": "The pedestrian footbridge in Westlands was constructed as a replacement for the footbridge previously installed at the St. Mark’s Church, slightly up the road. It was demolished to accommodate the viaduct for the Expressway under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) project. On the fourth item, the pedestrian footbridge in Westlands was constructed as a replacement for the footbridge previously installed at St. Marks Church, and like I have said, it was demolished for that viaduct. The Westlands footbridge design could not accommodate a ramp for persons living with disabilities due to lateral constraints caused by limitation of space to the extent of the road reserve, which would have required the Government to acquire additional land for construction of footbridge ramps as leads, wayleaves for relocated water, and power utilities."
