"content": "THAT, Clause 7 of the Bill be amended — (a) in sub-clause (1) by inserting the words “through a competitive recruitment process” immediately after the words, “Cabinet Secretary” appearing in paragraph (e); The principle aim of the amendment is on (1)(e), that after the word Cabinet Secretary, to include through a competitive recruitment process to allow the process to be open and not just amount to cherry-picking or for the Cabinet Secretary to pick members of his own choice. The same is buttressed by the New Sub-Clause 6. I am hoping the Chairman would agree we buttress it and make the process to be more competitive so that the Cabinet Secretary does not just pick anybody he feels like. This is Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and would be less costly because you can use the website, you can see who applies, and it would be a semblance of a competitive recruitment process for the members because the Cabinet Secretary would be allowed to appoint in the Board of Directors. Thank you, Hon. Temporary Chairlady."
