    "content": "Hon. Speaker, during the Financial Years 2022/2023 and 2023/2024, the Government recruited a total of 48,550 teachers for JSS. This included 9,000 teachers on permanent and pensionable terms and 39,550 intern teachers. In addition, the Government deployed 8,378 qualified primary school teachers to JSS, increasing the current number to 56,367. Following the budgetary allocation, the Government has converted the 46,000 intern teachers to permanent and pensionable terms from January 2025. The TSC is now recruiting an additional 20,000 intern teachers who will be at work by January 2025."
