The objects of this Act are to- (a) provide a framework for standards for professional practice and their enforcement; (b) facilitate the delivery of quality fire and rescue professional services; (c) promote the delivery of quality professional training and education for fire and rescue service professionals; (d) protect the public from unethical professional practice in fire and rescue services; and, (e) promote realization of the right to the highest attainable standard of health for every person in relation to prevention, response and mitigation of unintentional injuries resulting from fire, accidents, emergencies, disasters and calamities."
