    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker, for this opportunity. I rise to also support this Bill. Such Bills are very important. In fact, this is really what is meant to cure corruption. If procurement of goods and services is done in the right manner, then we can get rid of all issues of corruption. The cost of Government services will come down if we identify the right people to do business. The proposal to ensure that local contractors are supported is extremely important. The proposal that international investors should not be allowed to bid for a tender worth Ksh1 billion is very good. It will give an opportunity to local contractors to get projects. But, we also have to be very careful. That in itself is also an avenue and we might end up creating another level of corruption. In the registration of businesses, people can strike deals for foreigners to have a local company. Kenya is well known for a lot of cowboy contractors. A company may be registered in the name of local Kenyans, but the investment comes from outside. I do not"
