Speaker, I beg to give notice of the following Motion: THAT, taking into consideration the findings of the Departmental Committee on Social Protection in its Report on the vetting of nominees for appointment as Chairperson and as a Member of the National Gender and Equality Commission, laid on the Table of the House on Tuesday, 26th November 2024, and pursuant to Article 230 of the Constitution and sections 3 and 8 of the Public Appointments (Parliamentary Approval) Act, Cap.7F, this House approves the appointment of: 1. Hon. Rehema Dida Jaldesa as the Chairperson of the National Gender and Equality Commission. 2. Mr Michael Nzomo Mbithuka as a Member of the National Gender and Equality Commission. Thank you, Hon. Speaker."
