Deputy Speaker for giving me this opportunity to contribute to the mediated version of the Division of Revenue (Amendment) Bill (National Assembly) Bill No.38 of 2024. I must go on record that I was together with the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee as a Member of the Mediation Committee. I learned much about the mentality of Senators in respect of this matter. I also had an opportunity to engage some of the governors and learned much about how they view things in this country. First of all, we need to go on record and reiterate to the country and all the Members here that all of us are in full support of devolution. All of us are 100 per cent in support of devolution. Secondly, devolution was supposed to change the lives and welfare of the people at the grassroots."
