Temporary Chairlady, I beg to move: THAT, clause 18 of the Bill be amended in the proposed new subsection (1A) by deleting the word “Authority” and substituting therefor the words “accounting officer”. Clause 18 of the Bill says that upon completion of an evaluation and the successful tenderer is established, the Authority shall notify the other tenderers of the award. Now, the one who will be awarding the tender and informing the tenderer is the accounting officer and not the authority. So, we are deleting the word “authority” and substituting therefor with the words “accounting officer”. This was a drafting error which we are correcting in the Committee of the whole House."
