"content": "so that the House concludes with all that it needs to, before we commence the long recess at the end of next week. Members will note that today and tomorrow, Sittings are dedicated to consideration of individual Members’ business. I, therefore, urge Members to be present and ready to prosecute their businesses. Further, with regards to business that is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, 29th November 2024, the House is expected to consider the following Bills at various stages, if not concluded today – 1. Committee of the whole House on: (a) The County Governments (Revenue Raising Process) Bill, 2023; and, (b) The Co-operatives Bill, 2024. 2. Second Reading of the following Bills: (a) The Higher Education Loans Board (Amendment) Bill, 2022; I believe this is a Bill by Hon. Joyce Kamene. That is why I am saying we have allocated time this afternoon and tomorrow because many of these Bills were due to lapse at the end of this Session. Therefore, Members will appreciate that the House Business Committee did consider even Private Members' Bills and not just Government Bills to be prioritised so that they do not lapse. (b) The Political Parties (Amendment) Bill, 2022; (c) The Equalisation Fund (Administration) Bill, (Senate Bill No. 14 of 2023); (d) The Public Finance Management (Amendment) Bill, 2022; (e) The Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2023; and, (f) The National Police Service Commission (Amendment) Bill, 2024. Hon. Speaker, if you note, all these are either private Members’ Bills or Committee Bills. Additionally, debate will also be undertaken on the following Motions, should they not be concluded today: 1. Consideration of Reports on financial statements of state corporations (Nyanza Region); 2. Consideration of Agreement on the Establishment of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI); 3. Report on the alleged unfair trade practices by foreign investors in Kenya; 4. Third Report on consideration of the audited accounts of specified state corporations; 5. Report of the Extraordinary Session of the Sixth Pan-African Parliament (PAP); and, 6. Report on the performance audit report on the provision of services to persons with disabilities by the National Council for Persons with Disability. Hon. Speaker, with regards to business scheduled for Monday next week, the House is expected to consider the Second Reading of the following Bills, some of which are listed in today’s Order Paper – 1. The Business Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2024; 2. The Tax Procedures (Amendment) (No.2) Bill, 2024; 3. The Higher Education Loans Board (Amendment) Bill, 2022; 4. The Political Parties (Amendment) Bill, 2022 5. The Equalisation Fund (Amendment) Bill, (Senate Bill No. 14 of 2023); 6. The Universities (Amendment) Bill, 2023; and, 7. The National Police Service Commission (Amendment) Bill, 2024. Additionally, debate will also be undertaken on the following Motions, should they not be concluded tomorrow:"
