    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. Over 38 per cent of women aged between 15 years to 49 years reported experiencing physical and sexual violence in their lifetime. Alarmingly, we have witnessed an upsurge in femicide cases, with the National Crime Research Centre reporting a 35 per cent increase in femicide cases in 2023 alone. Additionally, Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV) is emerging as a significant threat, with a 2023 policy study revealing that one in every three women in Kenya has experienced online harassment or abuse.
