    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I rise pursuant to Standing Order No. 53(1) to request a Statement from the Standing Committee on Information, Communication and Technology regarding the need for automation and digitization of services in the office of the Controller of Budget (CoB). The Standing Committee on Information, Communication and Technology resolved to conduct a county oversight and networking engagement in the counties of Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo Marakwet, Trans Nzoia and Bungoma, as part of an ongoing inquiry into operations of the Integrated Financial Management Information System (IFMIS) and other county revenue collection and management systems. The Committee was particularly interested in presentations on each county's revenue collection and management systems; focusing on system overview, integration with IFMIS, effectiveness in revenue collection, key strengths and challenges, operational costs, sustainability and any planned future improvements.
