    "content": "According to the Leader of the Majority Party, it will be untidy to consider amendments to Section 4 of the Scrap Metal Act, Cap.503 while the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill, (National Assembly Bill No. 67 of 2023), awaits the consideration by the Senate. Having considered the justification by the Leader of the Majority Party, I have acceded to his request to withdraw the provisions relating to the Scrap Metal Act, Cap.503 as contained in the Business Laws (Amendment) Bill, (National Assembly Bill No.49 of 2024). In this regard, the Bill will, therefore, be proceeded with in the Committee of the whole House without reference to the withdrawn provisions. It will be considered as though the withdrawn amendments were not part of the Bill ab initio ."
