What is contained in the Bill is the ‘Central Bank Act’ but the mother Act is the ‘Central Bank of Kenya Act’. We are just adding the word ‘Kenya’. The amendment is also a clean-up of the Act by deleting the word ‘digital’ which is substituted by the word ‘non-deposit taking’ as per the new proposed definition."
