    "content": " Sorry, Hon. Temporary Chairman. It is because we have two amendments. All we are doing is require that the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) may liaise with relevant government agencies which register businesses, to obtain information on businesses registered to undertake manufacturing. The Committee had sought to delete a provision in the Bill that required disclosure of certain manufacturers. Or rather, requiring manufacturers to register with KEBS, and to dissuade KEBS from increasing the cost of doing business. We have now amended that to say that the Bureau will be required to liaise with other relevant Government agencies like Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and the former Registrar of Companies, to get all the relevant information that they may want, without requiring manufacturers to go and register with them, as it may be too cumbersome for businesses."
