Temporary Chairperson, I beg to move: THAT, clause 63 of the Bill be amended— (a) by renumbering the existing clause as sub-clause (1); (b) by inserting the following new sub-clause immediately after sub- clause (1)— “(2) A person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine not exceeding one million shillings or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both”. The justification is that the proposed amendment seeks to create a penalty for the offence of concealment of a person with disability."
