"content": "As you had indicated, we have business to reconstitute all the 18 committees whose terms have come to an end, some of which have a huge implication on the lives of our people. Students in both primary and secondary schools are waiting for school capitation. Yesterday, the Cabinet approved the Supplementary Appropriations Bill, and this is the money that Kenyans are waiting for to go to our children—not just for bursaries, but also for school capitation, which will enable the Government to hire the additional 20,000 teachers who will help in our schools. These are the issues that should concern us now. I urge that you convene the House Business Committee, hopefully immediately after this vote, so that we can schedule business and reconstitute those Committees that will help us to pass the Budget Policy Statement for this year, as well as the Supplementary Appropriations Bill that will be coming to this House in the next few days. Thank you. I beg to reply."
