    "content": "It is with deep sorrow that I notify you of the untimely demise of Hon. Moses Malulu Injendi, MP, the Member for Malava Constituency. Hon. Malulu passed away on Monday, 17th February, 2025, while undergoing treatment at the Aga Khan Hospital. The late Hon. Malulu Injendi was born on 9th October 1966 in Lugusi Village in Malava Constituency. He began his education at Lugusi Primary School from 1974 to 1981. Thereafter, he joined St. Ignatius Mukumu Boys High School from 1982 to 1985 and St. Peter’s Mumias Boys’ High School from 1986 to 1987 where he sat for his Kenya Certificate of Education (KCE) and Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) respectively. He later enrolled in Egerton University where he graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts (Economics and Sociology). His passion for education pushed him to further his studies and attained a Master of Arts (Sociology) Degree from the University of Nairobi in 1996. At the time of his demise, he was pursuing a PhD at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in the Republic of South Africa. Hon. Senators, the late Hon. Malulu Injendi worked at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) from 2001, where he served as a Deputy Registrar and later on as a lecturer. As an educationist, the late Hon. Injendi championed education reforms and dedicated his time to serve as a chairperson and member of boards of governors of various schools, including Lugusi Secondary School. The late Hon. Injendi joined elective politics in 2013, where he successfully gunned for and won the parliamentary seat as a Member for Malava Constituency on the Maendeleo Democratic Party (MDP) ticket.
