    "content": "I thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, for this opportunity to second the Motion celebrating the life of the late Sen. William Kipkiror Cheptumo. As the Senate Majority Leader said, it is not easy to stand on the Floor today and speak about Sen. Cheptumo in past tense. It is not easy, but we pray that God will continue to strengthen his family and his colleagues as we prepare for the final send-off. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I stand here to give a personal account and testimony of my interaction with Sen. Cheptumo. It will be remembered that sometimes last year, my county suffered several attacks from bandits, especially camel herders. We had serious problems and lost many lives. I spoke to Sen. Cheptumo who was then the Chairperson of the Senate Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations. I was shocked by the speed at which he acted on the matter."
