"content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, as a new Member of the Standing Committee on National Security, Defence and Foreign Relations Committee, I do not think you need any sessions with the committee to know why the President is being heckled across the country. That is my position. Nevertheless, I want to make comments on the statement by Sen. Eddy. One of the things that I am very proud of, as you know, is that I am the Secretary General (SG) of the ODM. In that capacity, we have proper networks across the country to give us information. I was sitting in my office and a young Member of County Assembly (MCA) called Eng. Tyson Kemege came to my office at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC). He is a specially nominated MCA by the ODM party. Many people will tell you or convince you that ODM has no presence in Kuria. That MCA is nominated by ODM party because we have very strong support there. If we can get our act right internally, I am sure that we can get one or two constituencies there in Kuria under ODM. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I was quite surprised that it is very easy for us sitting here in Nairobi to be unaware that there are communities that have been living in conflict for a very long period of time. I was very surprised that this dispute at the border between Narok and Migori counties has been going on for years."
